Decor Ideas for Early Autumn

Decor Ideas for Early Autumn

As September begins to draw to a close, it’s nearly time to embrace the Autumn months and introduce a Fall inspired colour palette to the home.

Great decor ideas for the cosy season include adding accessories in earthy tones, adorning sofas and chairs with comfy cushions, soft throws, and decorating walls with gorgeous garlands.

With the biophilic trend holding firm throughout yet another year of home design, now is a great time to introduce some elements of nature with a more seasonal hue: think russet, rich reds, ochres, warms browns and beiges.

Update a room simply, by bringing in accessories like the Appia Terracotta Table Lamp, which features a curvaceous solid glazed ceramic base in a deep orange colour way - ideal for achieving this look. The plush velvety Paddy cushion in blood orange or citrine are also great for introducing a pop of rich vibrant Autumn colour.

Another trend that works perfectly alongside this is ‘metallics’, as long as the focus is on warm golden tones.

Leather details are another great look for the fall season. Rich brown and tan tones, along with natural texture and variations in markings make homeware items such as our Life of Riley trays, magazine baskets and barware perfect additions to your space.

Artwork with a theme inspired by the transitional time of year is a great way to celebrate the season, and Adam Paddon’s stunningly patinated bronze sculpture Conker and his collection of Acorns are wonderfully autumnal pieces that would add a real statement to any decor.

Ilse Michelsen's original paintings featuring rich reds and umbers, warm gold leaf, and even natural materials such as sand, glass, and natural pigments, and would make a bold statement and add depth and interest to a variety of contemporary and traditional schemes.
